The African Journal of Rural Development (AFJRD) is an on-line open-access scientific journal published quarterly ( March, June, September and December) a year by the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture (RUFORUM) a consortium of 105 Universities in 37 countries, with an Editorial Secretariat at Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
The African Journal of Rural Development has dedicated a special issue to profile research process related to indigenous livestock and poultry resources in rural development in an effort to disseminate information to stakeholders and research community.
We are therefore inviting for papers that seek further understanding in this area addressing indigenous livestock and poultry resources in Africa and beyond. Original research articles are preferred. This particular issue will be published with support from the African Union Research Grant Number…led by Eduardo Mondlane University.

Authors should prepare their manuscripts according to the instructions given in the authors' guidelines. Manuscripts which do not adapt to the format and style of the Journal may be returned to the authors for revision or rejected. All manuscripts are subjected to anti-plagiarism checks and peer-reviews are conducted on only manuscripts that pass the anti-plagiarism test. The decision on manuscript is within a period of 2-3 months from the date of submission. Following acceptance, a paper will normally be published in the next issue.
