Professor and Head of the Department of Animal Genetics and Breeding at China Agricultural University (CAU) in Beijing. I received Ph.D. degree in Animal Genetics and Breeding at CAU in 1990, and spent one year as a visiting professor at Virginia Tech (USA). I am leading a large group with over 20 graduate students, focusing research on selection, gene mapping and functional genomics associated with meat and egg quality, disease resistance, feed efficiency and reproduction. I have authored or co-authored over 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals.
As the President of WPSA China Branch and currently a Vice President of WPSA, I have been working actively to promote the WPSA mission in China. I have recruited over 100 new WPSA members in China, and supplied Chinese translation of abstracts in the World's Poultry Science Journal since 2004. WPSA-China is honoured and proud to host the 25th World Poultry Congress in Beijing in 2016. I have been working as the Chairman of the organization committee of WPC2016, and we are making great progress to present a great event for the WPSA community.
