Bob is currently serving his second 4-year term as Branch Secretary for the USA Branch of the WPSA. Since receiving his Ph.D. in the mid 1980’s, he has been active in World Poultry Congresses and WPSA sponsored symposia throughout the world. He has dedicated his time to serving both the associations and the industry in all aspects of poultry nutrition and management. He has served as WPSA-USA President, Poultry Science Association Director, and President and Executive Secretary for the Southern Poultry Science Society. He was also an active member of the WPSA-USA WPC2020 Bid Committee. Bob is an active member of the Poultry Science Association, American Society of Animal Science, ARPAS, American Dairy Science Association and several state and industry association committees. His employment history includes Purina Mills, Eastern Minerals, Tyson Foods and his current position of North American Technical Service Executive Manager for Novus International. He also serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Animal and Veterinary Sciences Department at Clemson University.
Bob’s vision of WPSA in the future includes enhancing student and early career member involvement, increased communication between world areas (focusing on developing countries and branches) and an overall elevated impact and presence of the WPSA in the global poultry science field. His industry experience and extensive association commitment and involvement have prepared him well for further service within the World’s Poultry Science Association.
