I would like to make you aware of an interesting research and capacity building opportunity. The Animal Production and Health Section of the Joint FAO/IAEA Centre of Nuclear Techniques in Food and Agriculture in Vienna, Austria. Specifically, the IAEA is calling for proposals for a new Coordinated Research Project (CRP) on “Improving Efficiency of National Livestock Breeding Programmes Using Nuclear and Related Genomic Information – Practical Applications in Developing Countries”.
CRP are research networks of around 10 scientists/institutions in developing countries, approximately 5 international experts, and staff of the Joint Centre. The livestock CRP address applications of nuclear related technologies and biotechnologies to support more sustainable livestock production.
