Often poultry owners think they have to routinely treat their flocks for intestinal parasites, but properly managed flocks should not have intestinal parasite problems. Flocks should only be treated if they are infested. A fecal flotation can help identify an intestinal parasite problem. Dr. David Frame, DVM from Utah State University, will be discussing how a fecal flotation is done and how to identify the intestinal parasite if present.
