Bob is currently serving his second term as WPSA Senior Vice President and Branch Secretary for the USA Branch of the WPSA. He has served as WPSA-USA President, PSA Director, and President and Executive Secretary for the Southern Poultry Science Society. Bob is a member of PSA, ASAS, ARPAS and several industry association committees. His employment history includes Purina Mills, Eastern Minerals, Tyson Foods and currently Novus International.
Bob has been an extremely active WPSA Vice President but feels there is much more to be accomplished. Bob served as the Chairman of the WPSA Journal Publication Committee which facilitated the selection of and transition to our current journal publisher and the selection of our current Editor. Bob also created the WPSA Board Policy & Procedures Manual which serves as the guidelines for all WPSA Board member activities not specified in our Constitution and By-Laws. He has faithfully and timely fulfilled the routine demands of the WPSA Senior Vice President on the Executive Committee.
Bob’s vision of WPSA in the future includes enhancing student and early career member involvement, increased effective communication between WPSA and all world areas (focusing on developing countries and branches) and an overall elevated impact and presence of the WPSA in the global poultry science field. His industry experience and extensive association commitment and involvement have prepared him well for continued service within WPSA.
