Job Description: Post-Doctorate position in Animal Science - Poultry Nutrition (Postdoctoral– Poultry Nutrition)

Area of ​​expertise: Poultry Nutrition (Energy metabolism and indirect calorimetry)

Project title: Development of simulation software based on factorial net energy models for nutritional requirements and equations to estimate the energy value of diets.

The Poultry Science Laboratory-LAVINESP of the Department of Animal Science of the Faculty of Agrarian and Veterinary Sciences, UNESP campus Jaboticabal – SP offers a position for postdoctoral with a FAPESP fellowship. The candidates must have completed their Ph.D. in less than 7 (seven) years, in Animal Science, without any employment relationship, and have an exclusive dedication to the research project development. Also, it must be proven experience in research related to indirect calorimetry, energy metabolism, and poultry nutrition, based on dissertation and /or Thesis in these areas.  Advanced proficiency English language for writing, reading, and speaking.

Head of Research Group in Chicken Biology and Genetics

The Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is looking for an outstanding scientist to establish a research team focused on original research topics with a strong emphasis on chicken biology and genetics.


The Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences is a leading Czech research institute in the field of molecular biology and genetics. We offer a collaborative international environment and state-of-art research facilities, including a recently renovated facility for chicken breeding. The Institute maintains a unique panel of inbred chicken lines and pioneers genetic editing techniques in chicken. We plan to expand the number of research groups utilizing chicken as a model.

We look for an outstanding scientist to establish a research team focused on original research topics with a strong emphasis on chicken biology and genetics. The position is initially offered for five years with the possibility of further extension based on the international evaluation. The Institute will provide laboratory space in its new building located at the BIOCEV Biomedical Centre in Vestec near Prague, salary, start-up funds, institutional support and laboratory equipment.

Assistant Professor of Animal Sciences, Applied Ethology

The Department of Animal Sciences at Purdue University is seeking an Assistant tenure-track 9-month faculty position in Applied Ethology with emphasis on research (primary) and teaching (secondary). The successful applicant will establish a nationally and internationally recognized research program in Applied Ethology that is relevant to livestock and poultry. The successful applicant will be expected to teach courses related to their area of expertise and help fulfill the Department’s needs. Teaching expectations may include undergraduate courses in Animal Behavior and /or Ethics, and the opportunity to develop and teach additional courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Online instruction may be required with this position. The successful applicant will be expected to mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and participate in student club activities, and career advising.

A Ph.D. in animal sciences, biological sciences, applied ethology, or a related area is required, with interest, training or experience in livestock and/or poultry behavior. Demonstrated interest in, and capacity for teaching, and/or evidence of teaching competence is required.
